Valentin Platonovich Zubov Manuscripts, ca. 1850-1968.

Manuscripts of Zubov. The collection includes Zubov's memoirs, "Souvenirs de la revolution russe (1917-1925)," which discuss such topics as his tenure as curator of the Gatchino palace; Zubov's "La fin de l'Empereur Paul," an extensive biography; and "Istorii︠a︡ zhizni Ivana I︠A︡kubovskago," both the original manuscript (apparently written around 1850), and Zubov's edited version of it ("I︠A︡kubovskiĭ," 1770-1864, was the dwarf-servant of Zubov's ancestor Platon Zubov). There are also two books and one offprint by Zubov in the collection: "Zar Paul I: Mensch un Schicksal; Karlik favorita: Istorii︠a︡ zhizni Ivana I︠A︡kubovskago"; and a portion of Zubov's memoirs about the Institute of the History of the Arts, from #"Mosty".
